CDIP Remittance Program:

A good number of people from our credit program areas are working abroad and these people send their hard earned money to their relatives living in the rural areas of Bangladesh. In order to ensure quick and safe receipt of the money by the rural people, CDIP started Remittance Program in 2010 aiming to channel the foreign earnings to their relatives through its existing 90 branch offices scattered in 13 districts of Bangladesh. Since our partnership with Bank Asia Ltd. back in November 2009 and upon receipt of the permission from Bangladesh Bank on 22 March 2010, the CDIP Remittance Program started its journey on November 2010.

In order to deliver remittance services more quickly and in a professional manner, CDIP signed remittance services agreement with reputed “Money Exchange Houses”; namely Western Union (started from November 2010), International Money Exchange alias IME (started from June 2013), and Xpress Money (started from October 2013).

CDIP is now delivering the remittance services to the recipients quite efficiently and until the end of May 2016, CDIP served more than 43,000 remittance clients by providing them a total amount of over tk. 93.25 crore in last 04 years as may be seen in the following graph.
